The Illinois Ready Mixed Concrete Association

The Illinois Ready Mixed Concrete Association (IRMCA) is a non-profit trade organization that represents Illinois ready mix producers, suppliers and contractors. As an organization, our purpose is to achieve common goals such as education & training, promotion and advocacy that cannot be met individually. IRMCA strives to be the voice of the ready mix industry in Illinois and ceaselessly promote the increased use of high quality, durable concrete.

Since 1981 the Illinois Ready Mixed Concrete Association has been helping those in all phases of the concrete industry.

The Illinois Ready Mixed Concrete Association (IRMCA) advocates for the ready mix concrete industry in both the legislative and regulatory arena.  We are engaged at both the state and federal level and seek to build industry awareness and solidify relationships amongst our elected officials and regulators.

The purpose of the Marketing & Promotions Committee is to increase the use of ready mixed concrete, cement, aggregates, and related products in existing markets and new market areas through an active promotion and marketing program within IRMCA. The committee works to promote a positive image of our industry through interaction with environmental groups and develops materials that can be used by community groups to educate regarding our industry.

The Committee on Operations, Environmental and Safety (OES) provides a forum for the interchange of ideas relating to operations, equipment maintenance, safety, environmental compliance, production and distribution and the recruitment, training, and development of personnel and human resource management in the ready mixed concrete industry.

The IRMCA Technical Committee’s purpose is to continuously improve the basic and innovative concrete technologies in the state of Illinois. The objectives are to provide oversight and guidance in the areas of education and research, technical support and specifications, partnership with IDOT and to assist other committees or groups to accomplish objectives for the betterment of the Illinois concrete industry.

The Illinois Ready Mixed Concrete Association (IRMCA) is an affiliate of Construction Credit and Finance Group, which handles Construction debt collection services for the IRMCA members at large.
